Description
Located at 2A Tuas West Dr, Singapore, Contract 1906 (C1906) is a strategic infrastructure project commissioned by the Land Transport Authority (LTA). This project involves the design and construction of a critical railway viaduct that connects the Tuas West Extension (Tuas Link Station) to the Singapore Rail Test Centre (SRTC). As a dedicated link supporting 24/7 all-weather train testing services, the structural integrity of the viaduct is non-negotiable. GOWE is proud to have played a central role in this project by providing the specialized construction solutions for the Bridge Piers (Columns)—the fundamental pillars that support the weight and dynamic load of Singapore’s future rail testing network.

GOWE Solution
For the C1906 viaduct, the construction of the bridge piers required a perfect balance of structural strength and architectural precision. GOWE provided a comprehensive Steel Formwork solution specifically engineered for the heavy-duty requirements of railway pier casting.
By utilizing GOWE’s high-performance Steel Pier Formwork systems, the project team achieved the rigorous vertical alignment and tight dimensional tolerances mandated by LTA standards. Our solution was designed to withstand the immense lateral pressure of large-volume concrete pours, ensuring that each bridge pier achieved a superior, smooth finish with maximum durability. To meet the project’s demanding schedule, our modular steel forms allowed for rapid assembly and efficient cycling between pier locations. Through our technical partnership on-site, we ensured that the backbone of the C1906 viaduct was built to last—reinforcing GOWE’s commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure solutions, anytime and anywhere.
